James,

I'm attaching a position announcement for a paid internship (with health benefits!) at The Meeting School, with a significant focus on supporting the Peacebuilder Camp program. As apparent from the job description, I'm looking for someone who is not only interested social justice issues, but also someone who is good with administrative/organizational/logistical details. It's sort of a Administrative Assistant position. For those who knew of Molly Higgins-Biddle's participation in the program, this will cover much of the work she had been doing, with added responsibilities since we are launching the new program in addition to the summer camp. (Due to TMS community responsibilities, the intern will need to be a few years beyond high school age, perhaps >= 21 years old).

The second attachment is the flyer re: the Spiritual Transformation Program that I am still hopeful will attract participation from a number of YAFs. I look forward to hearing what is decided re: a YAF retreat that had been scheduled for the same weekend. One exciting update is that Doug Gwyn (Quaker pastor, scholar and author of "Covenant Crucified: Quakers and the Rise of Capitalism") will join us for the October retreat. As part of the program, he will give/lead a "public" presentation/discussion on Saturday morning that is open to folks who are not participating in the full program.

Please post this information to the YAF list. Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you at NEYM next week!

Paz y Libertad,
John
