Good News - an even more challenging subject for Hal Weaver's talk at Beacon Hill
this Sunday:

Sunday 4/13 - 1 pm
at Beacon Hill Friends House

Dr Harold Weaver

"FACING UNBEARABLE TRUTHS"

 Hal's talk will treat the controversial subject of "race"
and suggestions for follow-up by Friends. He will
examine Friends' testimonies and queries to see how
these tenets of our faith match up with the truths of
the history and legacy of chattel slavery in the USA.
How have Friends responded to the conflicts that have
arisen? Might we consider that, if in the 21st century
we honor our testimonies of truth, peace, and
equality, should we not also institute a testimony of
justice?

Hal's ministry, developing Cross-Cultural Respect and
Understanding through Film, Media, and the Arts, is
expressed in The ChinaFilm Project * The BlackFilm Project
* The BlackQuaker Project.
