The Graces in Kenya
August 24th, 4PM
Beacon Hill Friends House, 6 Chestnut Street, Boston, MA

Friends are invited to hear Eden and James Grace speak about their
past year in Kenya.  Jim and Eden are members of Beacon Hill Meeting
who have been in Kenya for the past four years and are headed back for
a fifth year soon.  Eden is currently field staff for FUM in Eastern
Kenya and the past year has been especially trying with the widespread
violence across Kenya in the wake of a contested election.  With
neighbor rising against neighbor, hundreds of killings, and hundreds
of thousands of refugees (internally displaced persons or IDPs,
including the Graces themselves for a time), it has been a crucial and
difficult time to witness to Quaker testimonies in East Africa. The
Graces will speak to the situation there, the activities of Friends,
the work of FUM hospitals, their own work and lives, and their needs
and hopes going forward.  Please join us.
