[YAF-announce] Pick Your YAF Camp Workshop Choices!

I'm thinking about a George Fox study group--We'd meet for a little while each day and read a little of his journal during free times. Not as a group, of course.

I also want to play Buffalo Robes. Which is an amazingly rough game.
And other camp games.

Subject: [YAF-announce] Pick Your YAF Camp Workshop Choices!

Dearly Beloved YAFs,

Hiking...

Singing...

a Coffeehouse...

Skill Sharing & Teaching...

a game of secret fairies?!

YES.

We'll have it ALL at YAF Camp: on 6th Month/June 7th-13th, 2008
(http://yaf.neym.org/camp/index.html).

BUT THERE'S TROUBLE!!!

For one, I have no idea what "secret fairies" are. (But somehow it's in
my notes from M&O's last meeting.)

We need your help choosing activities and naming leaders for our YAF
Camp workshops, excursions, and diversions. What do you want to do at
Camp? Are you led to lead a hiking group? What about a mini-seminar on
War Tax Resistance? Teaching basic knitting or paper air plane
construction? Meditation?

We need leaders and good workshop ideas for Camp. Let us know what you
want to do, who you want to invite, etc.

In addition to the activities listed above, here's a list to get your
brain going:

Work with OAFs or RPs on Mentoring

Peace (Peace Brigades)

Bonfire Committee

Sexual Ethics Workshop

Hiking/Nature Group

Ideas for Affinity Group Activities

Quaker Studies (some topics suggested include: "Quaker activism,"
"Africa," "Kenya," "George Fox," "John Wooman")

And of course, "secret fairies" (?)

Yet this is only a brief list. We encourage you to think bigger, wider,
and better.

And feel free to use the YAF Discussion forum:
http://groups.google.com/group/yafdiscuss?hl=en

With Love,

Ian, Adam, Anne-Marie, Dave, Elias, Frederick, James, Kate, Kim, and Will
